agraria Wels
25. - 28. November 2026 | International trade fair for agriculture
AGRARIA in Wels is one of Austria’s leading trade fairs for agriculture, agricultural machinery, livestock farming and forestry. It provides a platform for innovation, knowledge sharing and professional networking, offering a comprehensive overview of the latest agricultural technologies and practical solutions. Held every four years in autumn at the Messe Wels exhibition centre in Upper Austria, the event is organised by Messe Wels GmbH & Co KG. Through its diverse programme of trade fairs and events, the organiser makes an important contribution to the local economy and strengthens Wels’ reputation as an exhibition venue of regional and international significance.
AGRARIA focuses on the latest developments in arable farming, agricultural and grassland machinery, livestock production, forestry and on-farm energy systems. Manufacturers, dealers and service providers from Austria and abroad showcase modern tractors, high-performance agricultural machinery and innovative equipment for soil cultivation, sowing, harvesting, crop protection and forage production. Particular emphasis is placed on the digitalisation and automation of agricultural operations. Smart machine control systems, GPS-guided precision farming, autonomous vehicles, robotics and digital farm management systems demonstrate how farms can streamline operations, reduce costs and make more efficient use of resources.
Modern livestock farming is another major focus of the exhibition. The range of products and solutions includes innovative livestock housing designs, automated milking and feeding systems, and technologies aimed at improving animal health, welfare and farm profitability. The exhibition also covers sustainable energy solutions, including solar photovoltaic systems, agrivoltaics, biomass plants and advanced energy storage technologies. In the forestry sector, the emphasis is on high-performance machinery, modern wood processing techniques and climate-resilient forest management. AGRARIA also addresses key challenges facing the agricultural industry, particularly climate change, labour shortages, rising production costs and the sustainable management of natural resources.
AGRARIA attracts farmers, farm managers, agricultural contractors, agricultural engineers, specialist dealers, forestry professionals and representatives of research institutions, advisory services and agricultural organisations. Exhibitors include manufacturers of agricultural machinery, livestock housing and feeding equipment, forestry and energy technology, as well as suppliers of digital farming solutions. Visitors can compare machinery and technologies first-hand, discover new products, assess potential investments and establish contacts with prospective business partners.
Highlights of the event include the unveiling of new technologies, forward-looking machinery concepts and practical solutions for a wide range of agricultural applications. Direct discussions with manufacturers and industry specialists provide valuable insights into how emerging technologies work, where they can be applied and their potential economic benefits. AGRARIA therefore offers both practical guidance for farm investment decisions and fresh ideas for improving and developing agricultural businesses.
Wels is well suited to hosting the event thanks to its central location in Upper Austria and excellent transport links. The Messe Wels exhibition centre offers spacious indoor halls and outdoor exhibition areas, providing ample room to display large agricultural machinery and technical equipment. The city is easily accessible from across Austria and neighbouring countries via the A1, A8 and A25 motorways and the Austrian rail network. By bringing together advanced agricultural technology, practical industry expertise and valuable business contacts, AGRARIA has established itself as an important meeting place for the agricultural sector, helping to drive progress towards more efficient and sustainable farming.
The agraria will take place on 4 days from Wednesday, 25. November to Saturday, 28. November 2026 in Wels.
